Erin James Scholarship

Erin James lived life with a joyful heart. Growing up deeply rooted in the St. Albert community, she was known by her classmates and teachers at Bellerose Composite High School for her genuine, thoughtful nature. A proud Bulldog, Erin graduated from Bellerose’s International Baccalaureate program in 2000.

Those fortunate enough to know Erin experienced the selfless power of her love and support. She believed in celebrating others’ successes and invested an incredible amount of passion into her many cherished relationships with family members, friends, colleagues and members of the community.

A life-long learner, Erin went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta in 2004, followed by a diploma in public relations from MacEwan in 2006. Erin was also pursuing certification in human resources from the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Extension.

Erin’s passion for learning included a love of reading and literature which she happily shared with friends, and, most importantly, her daughter and budding reader, Juliet.

The Erin James Memorial Scholarship is presented annually to a grade 12 Bellerose student. The recipient is not required to have the highest academic average but must be committed to their academics, contribute to the Bellerose Community and exhibit compassion, kindness and generosity towards others.
